Welcome!

Hello! My name is Kristen Martin Riley and I am an American Red Cross certified Lifeguarding & CPR/AED Instructor.

I have been trained in Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid since 2001. In 2015, I decided to take my skill set up a notch and obtain my Lifeguarding, CPR/AED and First Aid Instructor Certifications. I have taught classes at a few universities and one of the largest teaching hospitals in Boston. After gaining some valuable teaching experience from these institutions, I decided to take the next step, start my own business… and here we are!

I am available to train and recertify in American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid and Lifeguarding curriculums. A detailed list of available courses can be found in the following pages. Please take a look around and don’t hesitate to reach out should you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you and learning about your training needs.

"[Class] was fantastic! You're clearly passionate about the work that you do, and it makes the learning experience infinitely more enjoyable. I will happily refer anyone that needs CPR training to you."

- Marc, Personal Trainer at Fisique Fitness

All of the trainers genuinely enjoyed what is normally a painfully boring and lengthy experience."

“Kristen came to our CrossFit and did a CPR/First Aid/AED training class. She was enthusiastic, thorough, fun and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her for your life saving educational needs.”

A few months after I joined the staff of our local CrossFit gym, Kristen came in to conduct a CPR and AED certification course. Little did I know how important this hands-on training would be.

A few weeks later I was traveling for vacation and dropped-in to a CrossFit gym that was highly recommended to me by a friend. The class was a lot of fun until a member suddenly collapsed on his way to the water fountain during a rest break. The situation was very scary as the member came in and out of consciousness and his pulse disappeared. Luckily the coach was a former EMT and there was a nurse in the class who were both CPR/AED certified. They sprang into action and, in a supporting role, I did my best to recall what Kristen had taught me. After several rounds of CPR and an AED shock, the member regained consciousness a few minutes before the ambulance arrived.

I recommend that everyone takes a CPR/AED course, including members and staff. Hopefully you never need to use CPR or an AED but if that scary situation pops up, having some hands-on training in a calm environment could help save a life.

"Kristen was a great resource for our company when we were in need of CPR re-certification. We have used various instructors before but Kristen was hands down the best. She presented the material in a way that was applicable to our setting as an outpatient Physical Therapy practice which greatly helped our learning.

She was responsive and very flexible when scheduling times for each class to cover our whole company's needs. We will absolutely be contacting her for future needs!"

- Patrick, Assistant Clinic Director at Rebound Physical Therapy
